Empowering EveryMind specializes in serving children, youth, adults and families living with neurodevelopmental disorders or disabilities. These are a group of lifelong diagnoses, presenting in childhood, that impact a person’s cognition, communication, emotional regulation, motor skills, and/or nervous system. This includes autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD), tourette syndrome (TS), intellectual and learning disabilities, and others.
Our team is also informed about specific issues that can be associated with neurodivergence including burnout, rejection sensitivity dysphoria (RSD), avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID), sensory processing disorders, pathological demand avoidance (PDA), sleep issues, and more. We also provide specialized programming for our neurodivergent children, youth and caregivers that identify as 2SLGBTQIA+.
Empowering EveryMind aims to be as accessible as possible. If you require any accommodations, including cognitive or sensory needs, please let us know how we can help you participate in our services and programs.
Unfortunately, our office location is not physically accessible and requires use of stairs to enter. If you are unable to attend due to physical barriers, we would be happy to bring our programs to you!
Our work is powered by volunteers, facilitators, event workers, and the generosity of donors, and we warmly welcome your support.
Any contribution goes a long way towards ensuring children, youth, primary caregivers and their support networks receive the information and resources they need to thrive.
Together, we can create a bright future for children and families with neurodevelopmental disabilities. Join us today!
